Phase 1 - Getting started

Olde Towne Clayton is known for its prestigious homes and is one of the most desirable locations in the entire St. Louis area—thanks to its prime location and highly rated school district.
We were brought in to completely reimagine a very average 30-year-old home that had been neglected and was long overdue for a full renovation. The result? A stunning transformation featuring an open, modern floor plan and high-end finishes throughout—crafted to impress even the most discerning homeowners.
This project is a true example of how thoughtful design and expert execution can turn a dated property into a showpiece worthy of its iconic neighborhood.
Phase 2 - Dealing with the dreaded surprises
When we take on large renovation projects, we always have an upfront conversation with the homeowner to prepare them for the possibility of hidden issues—problems that often only reveal themselves once demolition is underway.
In this particular case, we discovered a major structural concern: a large steel beam that had been undersized from the original construction. To ensure the home was properly supported moving forward, we replaced it with a correctly sized beam that meets today’s standards. This step was critical to the long-term integrity and safety of the home.
Phase 3 - Making the exterior as nice as the interior
At this stage of the renovation, our focus shifted to the exterior of the home. The existing pool area featured an outdated surround and fencing, but we were fortunate to find that the pool shell itself was in solid condition. It only required replastering and a fresh coat of paint to bring it back to life.
To elevate the outdoor living experience, we also added a compact yet functional outdoor kitchen—perfect for hosting and enjoying al fresco dining in style.
