Old Town Clayton Renovation
Phase 1
Old Town Clayton is home to some of the most prestigious properties in St. Louis, thanks to its unbeatable location and top-rated school district. We were brought in to completely reimagine a dated 30-year-old home that had been neglected for years and was well overdue for a full renovation.
What followed was a stunning transformation into an open, modern, beautifully finished home designed for today’s lifestyle. This project is a perfect example of how thoughtful design and expert craftsmanship can turn an ordinary property into a true neighborhood showpiece.
Phase 2
On every large renovation, we have an honest conversation upfront with the homeowner about the possibility of uncovering hidden issues—things that often only become visible once demolition begins.
In this case, we discovered a significant structural problem: a major steel beam that had been undersized since the original construction. To properly support the home moving forward, we replaced it with a correctly sized beam that meets today’s standards. This was a crucial step in protecting the long-term safety and structural integrity of the property.
Phase 3
At this stage of the renovation, our attention turned to the exterior. The existing pool area had an outdated surround and fencing, but fortunately the pool shell itself was in great shape. With a fresh replaster and new paint, it was easily revived.
To elevate the outdoor living experience, we also added a compact yet fully functional outdoor kitchen—perfect for gathering, entertaining, and enjoying al fresco dining in style.
